Access Gmail while you are offline!

Google offers you to access your Inbox when you are offline. Using Google gears, the Gmail inbox and other accessories will be cached and downloaded and can be viewed via the web browser

How to Get Started!

1. Sign in to your Gmail account.

2. Click on "Settings"

3. Go to the "Labs" tab and select "Enable" next to "Offline Gmail"

4. Click on Save changes.

5. After you are done then check the upper righthand corner of your account, next to your username, there will be a new "Offline" link. Click this link to access your Gmail account when you are Offline!

Is Windows 7 Faster?

Yes. Windows 7 is faster compared to its older versions. Microsoft re engineered all the services and made it faster.

Windows 7 is faster in startup, shutdown, resume, and other user sessions. Windows 7 team designed a new trigger based service controller that enables service developers to mark services.
Interestingly Windows 7 can manage when to make resources available for services that employ this trigger platform for Starting and Stopping.

This OS will be the most user friendly OS ever before!

Internet Explorer 8 RC1 released!

Internet Explorer 8 RC1 released yesterday and leaves the beta stage. So get ready to download and use the latest feature in the IE8.

This RC1 is released on Jan-26 2009 & the final release is scheduled later in the following year.

A Worm which Infected 9.5 Million Computers!!!

This worm is also known as Downadup or Kido which was first discovered in October 2008. This worm freely spreads through low security networks, pendrives, and the computer's which does not have the regular updates.

Working Principle of this Worm:

After entering in to the computer successfully, the worm works by searching for a Windows executable file called services.exe and then becomes a part of that code.

It then copies itself into the Windows system folder and creates a file with the extension called
"dll (Dynamic Linked Library)" and then it modifies the registry.

Once the worm is successfully set up it creates an HTTP Server and then downloads files from the Hacker's Website.

The most dangerous feature of this worm is it resets the machines system restore point so that making it very harder to recover the infected system.

Toni Koivunen from F - Secure says that the worm uses a complicated algorithm to generate 100's of different domains every day such as mphtfrxs.net imctaef.cc, etc. But only one of these will actually be the site used to download the hacker's files.

Anyhow the microsoft has released the patch through Windows Update.

But the computer's without the latest security updates are under High Risk.

So Please Update as soon as Possible.

Gears Of Wars

A third person shooter game developed by Epic games and published by Microsoft Windows. The War takes place at Planet Sera which is colonized by humans. After a violent 79 years of war the humans created the Coalition of Organized governments (COG) in order to bring peace using its forces called Gears.

Slumdog Millioanire

If you are wishing to create a bootable XP CD to reinstall windows, here is a simple step to create the CD!

1. Download the Software called nLite which will create the Bootable CD automatically. The download link is given below,

2. Download the Installer (2.54 MB) from the site.

3. Install the software and after installing click the nLite icon in the desktop or from the start menu.

4. Then click next and locate the drive where you have copied the original XP CD.

5. Then click next and click next one more time.

6. If you a want to integrate some drivers or service pack then click on the options which are available.

7.Make sure to click on the Unattented and Bootable ISO.

8. Then click next and put the Product Key.

9. Then click next and click yes to start the process.

10. After the process is complete, click next.

11. Then click on the Make ISO button and locate the folder where you want to save the ISO.

12. Then Click next and click Finish. That's All. You have successfully created a bootable XP CD.

If you want to hide a drive in computer, there is a easy way to do it!

1. Go to start and click run or simply press Windows logo button + R

2. In run command, type "gpedit.msc" and press enter.

3. In the interface, navigate to User Configuration> Administrative Templates.

4. In the right side, click on the Windows Components and press enter.

5. Go down and click on the Windows Explorer and press enter.

6. In Windows Explorer there will be option called "Hide these specified drives in My Computer"

7. Double click on it and click on enabled and specify which drives you want to hide in the drop down box menu.

8. That's all. After specifying the drive click on apply and click OK.

How to Hide a Drive in My Computer!

If you want to hide a drive in computer, there is a easy way to do it!

1. Go to start and click run or simply press Windows logo button + R

How to increase the startup speed of your Computer!

First time when you brought the computer the computer would have started within 30 seconds, but after sometime the startup time will increase, then you have to wait for sometime. This will happen because whenever you install a new software, then the services of the software will automatically go to the startup menu without your concern.

Here is a way to increase your Startup Speed,

1. Go to the start button and click run.

2. Then in run command type "msconfig" and press enter.

3. Check the selective startup box and click on startup on the upper tab.

4. After clicking on the startup, just uncheck the box which you don't want want. Make sure to check the antivirus services and the system services, because these services are essential to run the core system services properly.

5. After removing the unnecessary services in the startup list, you will see the change in the startup speed.

6. Restart the computer to complete the process.

How to change the Windows Vista Boot Screen!

Even though Vista has excellent Aero and other important features, the boot screen of Vista is not good.

So if you want to keep your best wallpaper or picture as your boot screen then there is a easy way to do it.

1. First download the free trial software called TuneUp Utilities from the following link

2. Then install the software and after installation click the TuneUp Utilities icon from desktop.

3. If you want to use the free trial version then click on continue testing.

4. Then in the interface go to Customize Windows.

5. On the right hand side you will a option called Change boot screen.

6. Click on it, then click on add>Load boot screen from file.

7. Then browse your computer where your pictures are stored.

8. That's all. Restart your computer and see your favorite picture as your boot screen.

Top 5 Tips To Increase Your PC Performance!!!

If you have low memory, and you want to run your computer smoothly, then follow the tips given below,

1. Resolution - Change your computer resolution to low state and use it. It will increase your performance of your computer.

2. Startup - Unwanted programs in your computer might slow down your PC. So remove those unwanted programs by using Quick Startup (1.2 MB). To Download Quick Startup Click here

3. Faster Menu Display - Press Windows Logo button + R > Type regedit > Press enter > Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\CONTROL PANEL\DESKTOP. On the right pane, you will see a option called MenuShowDelay. Double click on it, and change the value to 0.

4. Font - Delete unwanted fonts by following the below steps,

Go to your hard drive where your operating system is installed.
Go to Windows Folder.
Go to fonts folder & delete the unwanted fonts. ( Don't delete the fonts which are colored in red ).

5. Enable Hibernation - If your system is slow in startup and shutdown, then enable the hibernate option by going to control panel.

Restart your computer to take effect!

When you clicked the start menu and the menus are loading so late? Don't worry! There is a registry tweak to correct it. Follow the steps below,

1. Go to start and click Run.

2. Then type "regedit".

3. Find"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop" and select Menu Show Delay and right click on it and select "Modify" and change the number to 50-100.

4. Then restart the computer and see the difference.

How to create a nameless folder!

If you haven't tried creating a folder without any name, if you want to do so just follow the steps given below,

1. Select the folder you want.

2. Then right click on it then select rename, then press and hold the alt key, while holding the alt key type 0160 through the right side numeric key in the keyboard and not on the top side.

3. That's it. A nameless folder is created on it.
